Cooking from "scratch"
made simple

Demystifying the art of eating well with simple ingredients!

Many know me as a master tailor, which I am, I am also a Mom and Grandmother who has learned the art of cooking through family members.  My dad was a big influence on my eating preferences, he had a very fine palette, everything had to be just so for him to eat it, his most favourite dish was pasta with a plain tomato sauce which I have shown in several different variations.  Also featured is the annual "tomato making" Italian tradition when everyone gets together to process a whole lot of tomatoes into a tomato puree`, not only is the sauce delicious it's also a great boding time with the family.  So a win/win situation for all who participate.
I have posted several videos on YouTube showing a few different dishes that are prepared from basic ingredients found at home on a regular basis, I'm a big believer in getting creative in the kitchen rather than going to the expense of purchasing products that will be used once most likely, or throwing food out, that is a big no-no in my kitchen!!  There are so many hungry people in the world who would consider themselves lucky to have a morsel of bread and a piece of cheese to stave off hunger and the more affluent have the nerve to waste perfectly good food that can be easily transformed into a healthy, delicious meal!
I show how to use very ripe fresh tomatoes to make a tomato sauce, how to re-purpose leftover sauce in veal parmiggiana, how to cook dried chick peas to make meal and the list goes on.  I hope you enjoy the videos, if anyone wants cooking lessons I can do that too!  Please contact me for more information.
