Welcome to two new students!  .....and homework!

1/25/2017

A big welcome to Karen and Dante into the Le Grand Chic family of tailors!  Last night was their very first lesson on the bodice, nothing like jumping into the deep end of the pool when you're a non-swimmer!  They are troopers and did an AMAZING job!  Neither Karen nor Dante had ever seen or used the tools/book before but by the end of the class they were already drafting a bodice front in two different measurements, then I showed them how to do a back which is now their homework!  Yes folks there is homework even on the first class!
Due to the low enrollment it was decided that Dante and Karen would come to my house for classes, they are very committed to learning tailoring, Dante is driving from Brantford and Karen from Woodbridge!  That's commitment!
So for homework please draft a back using the generic measurements provided and using personal measurements.  Use the storyboard for the back as well, the only difference is the back is a mirror image of the front.  In addition take another set of measurements on someone else and draft a front only using those measurements, please record the measurements used on the drafts as well as the scales and their uses on each draft.
Next class will be on Sunday January 29, 2017 at 3:00 pm.  Have a great few days!
