What a great weekend! Even though it was Mother's day and I scheduled work (my bad) in January thinking that Mother's day would fall last weekend, then proceeded to tell my students that "these dates are set and cannot be changed!" So I could not in all good conscience be a hypocrite and change the dates once I figured out my mistake!!! So we worked, and worked and worked
These ladies are making terrific progress so the next challenge will be to put together a finished garment they will actually wear. I am so happy at the enthusiasm in this class to go forward and learn it's contagious and seems to have re-energized even the teacher ;)
Peggy is doing an empire cut sheath dress with sleeves to the elbow with a Volant attached, she will line her dress
Karen is doing an empire cut with neckline pleats and short sleeves with similar detailing on the sleeve cap
Georgie is doing a flared mock princess cut dress with no sleeves
They will all be adding facings to finish the garment with the exception of Peggy who is going to line her dress.
