I would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to Sandra from the U. S. A. for coming for the one week intensive class, it was my distinct pleasure to provide one-on-one instruction to her! Sandra showed amazing progress, in a very short period of time she was able to draft a sheath dress both front and back, fish eye darts on both front and back, set-in sleeve, she sewed a LINED SHEATH DRESS for someone else, two mock ups and she also learned how to draft a circle, semi-circle skirt and volants.
Considering that Sandra had never seen the tools before or used metric measurements, in my opinion she did unbelievably well and received a recognition certificate of completion! Kudos to you and I hope to see you again.
Now down to business :)
Your homework is to create the sheath dress in another size as well as your own, as discussed in class you are to draft the mock princess as well as the princess dress on page 50, if you can please do 3 different sizes, so find some friends or family members to use as fit models and create the master pattern, pattern pieces and mock while everything is still fresh in your mind. This will go a very long way in re-enforcing what you learned in class and give you a better understanding of the pattern draft, drape and hang of fabrics.
Good luck and I hope to hear from you soon with loads of questions as all my other students ha
