pant skirt and sweater

4/16/2013

Hello all!  Very proud of your grasp of the pant skirt and sweater
drafts,  wait until you see how easy it is to sew them together!  For
Saturday's class  please have a mock up ready from home of the pant skirt (if
you have time) to  fit in the morning, then it will be cutting and sewing
the pant skirt before  noon!  Remember to decide on the closure, if it will
be on the front or the back  of the garment and bring in the zipper as well as
the interfacing if you are  planning to install  a front fly
zipper.

In the afternoon we will be cutting the knit sweater with raglan sleeves and
the neckline of your choice, you can add a collar either a turtle neck or mock
turtle, or even a wider collar such as the examples I brought into class on
Monday.  Just be sure you have the right materials to work with.  For
the  sweater a polyester thread with a bit of stretch and the correct needle for
the  sewing machine will be a big help in expiditing the work.

If there are any questions please contact me and I will be happy to answer
  them.

Don't forget your patterns, portfolio page and gored skirts for
  evaluation.

thanks
