What a day, what a GREAT class! In 3 1/2 hours Jill sewed a pair of pants from start to finish with pockets and a front fly zipper!! FANTASTIC job Jill!!!
The look AMAZING! Fit her like a glove and are very elegant with a high waist contouring her silhouette perfectly! Jill made the pattern during the last class and was supposed to practice the zipper and pockets at home but life happens and she was unable to complete her homework so we had much to do today. I am quite strict with homework assignments because it's good training for meeting deadlines, good time management and goal setting for future business. Once students are trained to manage their time efficiently from the beginning it becomes second nature making the future jobs less stressful to execute. Today Jill did very well and worked diligently with great speed to complete the task, once she tried the pants on she could not contain her enthusiasm and I of course was over the moon with pride! Below are a couple of pix so you can see for yourself what a great job and how great the pants look on Jill. The hem is not finished because she could not decide on the length quite yet.... Homework is to do the zipper and pocket storyboards the same as the samples. Sew two more pairs of pants with pockets and front fly zipper to show me the next class, the length is not important so they can be shorts, capris or pants. The important part is the top with the pockets, zipper and waistband. Next class will be in two weeks, no excuses for not completing homework, set soft deadlines to complete the individual tasks and a hard deadline to complete the whole task. Comments are closed.
