Great job Andrew! In only two hours Andrew had to answer a pop quiz, discuss a bunch of things but most of all cut and sew together a fleece jacket, the very fist time Andrew has sewn sleeves! I chose to break him in gently with a Dolman sleeve that is sewn in before sewing the side seams making the sleeve installation a breeze! I keep asking if there are any questions and the answer I get is "no I understand it all" and the funny part is he really does understand the work! I think Andrew is going to be an awesome tailor!
But let's not get ahead of ourselves..... there is homework:
Homework is to get all the materials together to finish the jacket next week. Please bring a 70 cm long separating zipper, fusi-knit, 2 cm elastic to go around the hips, rib-knit to finish the sleeves. Complete the welt pocket story board, fit dress on wearer and either skype or facetime to see the finished mock up. Make pants to go with the jacket as well as finishing any unfinished work
Next class we will be finishing the fleece jacket with the zipper, collar and cuffs, if time permits we will be going on to new materials.
Have a great week!
