Hello ladies what a great review on Friday! We went over the set in sleeve as well as the bodice front and back and then you learned how to draft a collar for both the wing collar and the man's shirt collar. The difference with this draft is that it's completely done by using a measuring tape! There shortcuts but before we run we have to walk so no shortcuts until the basic is completely understood. Your homework is to complete the draft started in class the previous week on page 69 with the two pleats and yoke using your personal measurements. Once that is completed please create a blouse with princess lines on the front only, a set in sleeve as well as a wing collar. You only need to go to the hip line for this project. Please bring the completed assignment into class we will be going over it at the beginning of class and then learn about the notched collar briefly. We will be going on to the robe with a Dolman sleeve, front overlap and shawl collar. The two piece sleeve will not be covered until there a full attendance as this is a very important aspect of garment making so I will need everyone present for this instruction and subsequent storyboards.
Have a great week! Comments are closed.
