How excited Andrew is to come to class! This makes me very happy! Today we covered the princess lines on the front and created a dress pattern, Andrew figured it would be a good idea to learn this in the event any of his clients would like to have a dress instead of a skirt or pants with their suit. Good call on his part there are many professional women out there who really need to wear nice, well fitting clothes. I love wearing a jacket with matching skirt or dress or pants it makes me feel well groomed and confident when my clothes are well planned out, made with quality fabrics and fit perfectly. That's how all women should feel.
Your homework is to draft one of each sheath, princess and mock princess dresses in different measurements taking cues from the numbers on how to proceed; the essence of bespoke tailoring. The other part is to do one A-line, one tapered and one pencil style as shown on page 44 – 45. Please draft a back for each of the dresses and bring the master pattern and pattern pieces next week for me to look at. For next week please bring some knit fabric so we can do a tank top for men.
