Hello all just wanted to tell everyone that I'm on the mend! Yesterday was the first day in a long time I could go without pain killers. I think the RMT who worked on me really knows what she is doing and fixed the back part of the arm, she found there were a couple of ribs out of place and fixed that problem which made a huge difference to me! Now the pain is concentrated at the front of the rotater cuff hopefully the next treatment will fix that problem then I'm home free!
Talk soon.... Well there has been some marginal improvement with my shoulder I can actually do some work in short stints. At least I feel like I'm using my brain a bit and not just sitting to keep from hurting...... It has not been fun at all these past weeks, the pain at times excruciating, the numbness in my right arm relentless making Maria a very unhappy camper!!!! It seems finally the anti-inflammatory meds, pain killers, heat, cold and stretches are beginning to take effect giving me a bit of relief. Next week I go for a CT scan, hopefully I will get some answers and a solution to this annoying problem.
Attention students we can resume classes next week if you are available. The only days I won't be able to teach are Tuesday morning, Wednesday and Friday, if you would like to book a skype class please email me with a time and date. Have a great day, We did a lot of work yesterday! Andrew has such a good grasp of pattern drafting that in a short two hours he did 3 double base dart patterns and an asymmetrical front and back top pattern! Great work Andrew!! The real work begins now putting them all together as mock ups! I have every faith that he will get it all done in very short order!
Homework is to draft all these patterns; the 3 double base dart styles and the asymmetrical using actual measurements, trace the pattern pieces complete with labels and all pertinent markings for the double base dart and the asymmetrical top and create mock ups for models. These will be handed in for grading to go towards certificate. I will need to see them on the models to mark the fit. Keep up the good work! So today I went to my chiropractor/kniesiologist and he could not see much improvement, of course I already knew that because the pain is sometimes unbearable! He gave me some new stretches and told me that it feels like my scapula is glued to my rib cage and that is the crux of the problem. He was trying to be funny and asked if I knew who was the culprit that put the glue there! Hahaha very funny doc! If I knew who it was they would not be happy once I got through with them this is so painful and uncomfortable it's not funny!
Anyway I should be back in the saddle next week at least that is the goal.... In the meantime I'm waiting for summer to make an appearance, so far it seems to be eluding Southern Ontario! Keep you posted enjoy the weekend. Well it looks like I am on holidays for a couple of weeks, not a planned vacation but couldn't have happened at a better time. It seems I have messed up my right shoulder and neck, a bad shoulder lead to shortened muscles, a pissed off tendon and a pinched nerve in my neck! My right arm keeps falling asleep with pins and needles down to the finger tips and is very painful. Such fun times :(
I am doing stretches and seeing a kneisiologist/chiropractor who has been working on the soft tissue so far so good, tried massage therapy but didn't work very well, felt better for a bit but then it was back to square one...... Suffice it to say I have not been doing a whole lot.... |
