Hello all! It's been a while since I have written last. I finally have some news about the bridge course for the graduates of the Euro pattern drafting program! The course has been set up and just waiting approval (which will be soon). There are 2 - 30 hours sections to the bridge course as there is quite a lot of material to cover before going on to book 2.
The first section is set to start April 1, 2013 and will be run for the whole month of April on Monday evenings and Saturdays all day. This will enable students to finish this section in one month (1 section with 30 hours of instruction time). The next section will be determined by students when the best time will be for their schedules. There will be drafting and sewing much like we were doing, drafting on Mondays and sewing on Saturdays. For the courses to run there will need to be a minimum of 7 people, all the courses will be run from Georgian College, Barrie campus. FYI: THE TUITION IS TAX DEDUCTABLE EVEN FOR PART TIME STUDIES and there is a seniors discount for anyone over 65! This is open to all students who have completed the Euro courses already especially if they plan to continue with book 2 coming this fall. Book 2 will be drafting as well as sewing as that is the best way for students to learn the art of tailoring with a specialization on pattern drafting. The new book 2 is exciting and challenging that will really push students to reach their full potential. A course like no other in North America as it will allow students to apply for their Italian fashion arts diploma by writing the Italian exam. Once book 2 is completed students can also apply for their Italian teaching credential in this field. |
