January 30, 2011 day after the wedding...... Feet hurt..... A LOT! Other than that feeling GREAT! Every thing went off without a hitch even the weather co-operated! The ceremony was absoultely wonderful made even more special by the siniging voice of one Diana Calautti, my youngest daughter. Her soprano voice captivated everyone when she sang Ave Maria, not a dry eye in the place! The reception was wonderful, all the guests had a great time. I am sure no one left hungry after the
hor-d'ouvres, 5 course meal and the midnight buffet along with a chocolate truffle "smash cake".... And the dresses, yes the dresses..... they were a HUGE HIT! Many, many compliments were received. All the hard work paid off in the end. Check out the pictures Hello all, hope you enjoyed the first class on pants. They are truly womens' nemesis as far as fit is concerned! We will conquer the fit in this module!
For the second class please be sure you have the tracing paper as well as the rest of the kit. No need to bring in the blue square for this module at all. Also bring in the front that was drafted in class using all the same measurements, it is essential to creating the back. No sewing machines this week either. All the garments are finished for the wedding! I am sooooooo happy! Now all we need is good road and weather conditions, please pray with us for this miracle to happen! After the wedding I will be posting pictures Hello all, just letting you know that I have been sick as a dog! Still on medication but getting better. Today I FINISHED MY
M-O-G DRESS!! This morning I created a shawl for this dress that needed some special details so I cut one end a little more rounded and the other at a point. The look that I was after was a fluid, rouched, lovely piece and so I got creative and worked so that I can thread/weave one end into the other and pull creating some pleating and a beautiful flower with uneven ends. It works very well with the dress and hat! I may have found shoes as well the exact same purple as in the lace with a rhinestone thingy-do (technical term...) on one side. Hopefully we can find the right size.... Looking forward to going back to school next week and my students are very lucky that because of the wedding there will be no homework for the first couple of classes! Enjoy this ladies it doesn't |
