Tuesday October 1, 2013 I was invited to appear on Daytime Simcoe television program.
They contacted me to go on the air and discuss the elusive well fitting pants! The show airs live at 11:00 am and taped at 4:00 and 11:00pm. I will appear with a neighbour/friend for whom I made a pair of pants to show the difference between off the rack fit and custom fit, and what a difference there is! The other topics of discussion will be what to look for when purchasing pants, how they should be altered to fit better, different fabrics and how they affect the hang and how to care for your pants. Women have several choices when it comes to choosing how to acquire their pants; they can opt for off the rack and hope for the best, order custom pants (not as expensive as one might expect) or learn to sew their own. The last option is not as hard as one may think, once the pattern is perfected it’s a matter of copying it in different colours. The pants section of the European Pattern and Garment Making program starts in January 2014. This is the most comprehensive pattern drafting and sewing program north of the GTA and the only flat pattern drafting method taught in the Italian tradition of excellence. The beginner skirts course is starting on Friday October 4, 2013 and there is still room in the class! This is the very best place to start pattern drafting as it is the easiest to understand while familiarizing oneself with the tools of the trade, learning fabric properties and basic sewing Comments are closed.
