Great class last week! Andrew finished his blazer! In a double class we covered how to add the sleeve properly, install the rollino, shoulder pads and how to "bag" the lining too! When he tried the jacket on it fit like a glove! The shape and how it contoured the body was incredible, I kid you not! It's amazing that he can accomplish this level of work in one short year of studies!
His words were "there are no words to describe how I happy I feel right now" after he tried the jacket on, that statement applies to the teacher as well :) I could not be more proud.
So for this week the homework is to gather all materials needed for next week's drafting session. Please complete the work on the blazer that was left as homework for you to practice on your own just to see what you have retained from the class and bring the blazer with you so we can discuss the work and look at areas of improvement, areas that are very well done, areas that could be changed, basically decompress.....
We are also going to start with the fine tuning of the hand sewing to be discussed at that time. Have a great week!
